Digital 5 a day

Are you getting your digital 5 a day?

Having a healthy diet doesn’t mean that you never eat pizza or chocolate again but it is important that you eat them in moderation – along with your 5 fruits and veg a day! In the same way, you don’t have to give up your smartphone forever to have a healthy digital diet.

When phones, social media and games make us feel worried, stressed and a bit out of control, it often means that we haven’t got the balance quite right.

Connect

Stay in touch with friends and family both online and offline

Get Moving

Take some time off and get active - any and all movement boosts positive brain chemicals and helps our emotional wellbeing

Take Time for YOU

The internet can be great for building new skills and discovering new passions. But, don’t forget your IRL hobbies and stuff you enjoy.

Stop and Take Notice

Get offline and take a moment or two to be aware of the world around you and what you are feeling. Pausing to really take notice like this can be very relaxing and calming. Even better if you do it outside!

Give

Do something nice for a friend, help out at home, thank someone, smile, volunteer your time, join a community group...

Kindness is a superpower!

Stay Safe

The most important ingredient in your wellbeing is staying safe.

Make sure you know how to stay safe online and get help if you need it.
